LIFE Spiritual Retreat holds at Ajebo Camp
The yearly LIFE Theological Seminary Spiritual Life Retreat took place at the Foursquare National Camp Ajebo between September 22 and 24, 2006. The retreat which was declared open by Rev. Bukola Oluwagbemiga, Dean of Faculty was not only spiritually energizing but spiritually fulfilling from the beginning to the end.
It was a solemn assembly that brought the day and weekend students together in a celebration of life and praise to the Almighty God. The retreat was ushered in with a powerful praise and worship session by the Voice of LIFE Choir led by its director Bro. John Oyeleke. Rev Dr B. Adeogun gave a stimulating message on "Be willing to serve cleaned' with text from 2Tirn. 2:2 and James 1:25-27.
The second day which was coordinated by Bros. Eluwole Oluwatosin and Segun Jayeoba, president of day and weekend respectively commenced with the introduction of the Provost Rev. C. C. Orgu. The provost welcomed the congregation enjoining them to bear whatever inconvenience they experienced with godly instinct adding sarcastically that it was part of the training curriculum. He however promised a swell in the presence of the Almighty God. Rev. Orgu introduced the quest speaker, Rev. Luke Egbonuba who is an alumni and school mate of the provost. He is also the District Overseer of Lagos. Rev. Egbonuba was ushered into the podium with a melodious and highly inspiring special anthem by the Registrar Rev. Sophia Vanderpuye. His message entitled the vessel God uses" was taken from II Tim. 2:14-21 and Heb. 5:4
According to him, a minister can be a dishonored vessel despite being crowned with honor. He listed the following as proof of a called minister and subsequent maintenance of the honor attached.

New Dawn for Non Teaching Staff
It was a surprise Christmas package for the non-teaching staff of LIFE on December 11 2006, when what used to be a routine quarterly meeting with the Provost turned out to be a sumptuous end of year party and gift galore.
As the meeting took off at the new executive Conference Hall, the Provost, Rev. Cletus Orgu declared that not only had they come for meeting, but for end of year party which to some looked like a joke as they were not expecting such thing;
But more surprising thing was awaiting the staff as Rev. Orgu reeled out what to them sounded too good to believe. He informed "December salary will be ready on the 13th while Christmas bonus will be paid on or before 22nd"
Many of the staff exclaimed: "This is the news of the year." The members of staff could not hide their joy as some went in jubilation for the new dawn unfolding in the school. For many years now, the yuletide had been a harrowing period for them as they were usually not paid their salary before Christmas.
As the merriment was going on, all the staff were each presented with end of year gift which included two bible dividers and a mug.
